MIT Reads
MIT Reads is an all-MIT reading experience that aims to build community and foster understanding. Our goal is to bring the campus community together through shared reading and discussion. Each year’s selected readings will center on the theme of diversity, inclusion, and social justice...MIT Reads is sponsored by the MIT Libraries and the MIT Press Bookstore.
My Sister's Keeper
My Sister’s Keeper is a collaborative initiative that is designed to help support the continued success of MIT's black women students. Founded by Prof. Helen Elaine Lee, Comparative Meeting Studies/Writing Professor and Director of Women's and Gender Studies, the initiative aims to "provide emotional and psychological support, foster kinship and community, strengthen academic performance, and cultivate engagement in social, political, and cultural matters beyond the classroom."
