Nkrumah's Last Day is an original play written and directed by Kwesi Afrifa '24, an Urban Science and Planning with Computer Science major. Revolution and redemption collide in this depiction of a fateful night in the nascent Ghanaian Republic. Nkrumah's Last Day explores the man's controversial--and charged-- regime through the eyes of the people who experienced its bitter end. Produced by the Black Theater Guild, the play was presented as a semi-staged performance on February 19, 2022 and had over 60 members of the MIT and Greater Boston communities in attendance.
